I can't believe I'm posting a picture of me taped up in Gaffa tape but I wanted you to see how I made this dressform.
I'm slowly starting to sew clothes and I'm tired of stabbing myself with pins so I decided to make my own dressform - since I don't have the money for a new one and I haven't found a used one yet. My bf taped me up in gaffa tape and then we cut it up the back. I taped it back together and then added extra tape, this time brown paper/packing tape. Then I stuffed it with newspapers and added an old tanktop.
I had some problems with the boob area and it was seriously disturbing seeing "myself" in 3D.... my tummy is a little bigger than I would like it to be. But it's better than nothing and if it helps, then it was well worth it!
Gaffa tape. Should have layered it more but we ran out of tape.
